Biography: Dr. Matthew H Walker, MD is an Orthopedic Surgery Specialist who practices in Richmond, VA. He is 49 years old and has been practicing for 21 years. Biography: Dr. Colin A. Mudrick is a member of the Joint Replacement Team at Tuckahoe Orthopaedics. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University where he then went on to complete his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. Following this he was awarded a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, North Carolina. (A fellowship is an extra year of specialized training that a physician chooses to pursue after completing medical school and residency training). Dr. Mudrick and his staff evaluate and treat patients with hip and knee pain arising from arthritis, traumatic injury, and congenital / developmental conditions. He performs both partial and total knee replacements as well as total hip replacements using a minimally invasive direct anterior approach. He also treats young adult hip conditions including hip dysplasia and femoroacetabular impingement or ``FAI`` employing hip arthroscopy as well as periacetabular osteotomy, or ``PAO`` (a specialized procedure to reshape the hip socket in order to preserve a young patients native hip). During his fellowship he also focused on the treatment of complications that have arisen after previous hip and knee replacement surgery. Dr. Mudrick grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is a candidate member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of Virginia and the Richmond Academy of Medicine. He recently co-wrote a book chapter on the management of knee instability after total knee arthroplasty, as well as, published a case report regarding the relationship between lumbar spine surgery and hip instability. He enjoys spending time with his wife Berkley and their growing family, playing tennis, and fishing on Virginia's trout streams.

Biography: Dr. A. Brion Gardner is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and has received several military awards including the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for his care of critically wounded Marines and Navy Sailors injured in Iraq and Afghanistan. Dr. Gardner is enthusiastic about all sports, fitness and wellness. He has been a contributor to WashingtonPost.com in the NFL Forum The League, writing a weekly analysis of sports injuries. He has also been a guest expert on NFL satellite radio discussing various injury related issues of collegiate and professional football players. He has been a contributor to various television and radio sports talk shows as a medical analyst.

Biography: Dr. Kim graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering and computer science. He obtained his MD degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed residency training at Temple University Hospital and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Georgetown University. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and is a Fellow in American Orthopaedic Surgeons Society. Dr. Kim treats patients with all types of orthopedic conditions but specializes in sports medicine and osteoarthritis problems. Most of his elective cases are performed via minimally invasive arthroscopic approach. He also performs total knee replacements utilizing robotic surgery. Dr. Kim provides skilled surgical care based on years of experience and thousands of surgical cases. Dr. Kim volunteers his time at local high schools taking care of athletes. He currently serves as the team physician to Battlefield High School and US Speedskating. He regularly provides lectures for certified athletic trainers of Prince William County Schools and works closely with athletic training department of George Mason University. He is actively involved in researches in sports medicine in conjunction with the George Mason University Athletic Training Department. Dr. Kim has numerous honors. He was named the recipient of Dr. Frank McCuen Sports Medicine Award by the Virginia High School Coaches' Association. He was named one of Washington D.C.'s top experts in Sports Medicine by Washingtonian Magazine. He was listed as one of Northern Virginia's Top Doctors by Northern Virginia Magazine.
