Biography: Dr. Lawler is a board-certified member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Movement Disorders Society. She is also the medical director of the Parkinson's Association of San Diego. Dr. Lawler is originally from Ohio where she completed undergrad at Ohio University and also studied abroad through Duke University in Costa Rica where she completed a Spanish immersion program. She came back to Ohio for medical school at University of Toledo and then went on to complete her residency training in neurology at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C., where she served as chief resident. Dr. Lawler stayed at Georgetown University to complete a fellowship in Movement and Memory Disorders at the highly acclaimed Translational Neurotherapeutics Program where she was extensively involved in clinical research, including the pivotal ongoing study using Nilotinib for treatment of Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease, helped start the first ever Parkinsonism and Dementia clinic, and participated in baseline cognitive and neurologic assessments of retired NFL players for the NFL Players association. Dr. Lawler has published a variety of papers and posters on topics involving the use of Nilotinib in the treatment of Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Disease. Dr. Lawler is experienced in treating many different neurologic conditions but specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Movement Disorders, offering a wide variety of treatment options beyond traditional medical management for Parkinson 's Disease including programming and management of Deep Brain Stimulation and the Duopa LCIG infusion pump. Dr. Lawler also specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of Autonomic conditions, muscle dystonia and spasticity using Botulinum toxin injections, as well as all of the various types of dementia. Dr. Lawler is very passionate about the care and treatment of patients with memory disorders and plans to start a new program and center of excellence with the goal of not only improving patient care and treatment options but starting a nationwide campaign of awareness.

Biography: Dr. Quesnell grew up in Northern California. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Microbiology at UC Santa Barbara. She attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where she received her medical degree. She completed her Neurology residency training at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, KS along with a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology. She then served as a clinical assistant professor in Neurology at the University of Kansas prior to joining the Neurology Center in 2016. Biography: Paul D. Kim, M.D. graduated with honors as a College Scholar from Cornell University. After college, he was a Ph.D. candidate at Harvard University before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. He then completed medical school at Columbia University's College of Physicians & Surgeons and then his orthopedic surgery residency training at The New York Orthopedic Hospital at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center where he served as a chief resident. Subsequently, he completed his spine fellowship at The Spine Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Saint John's Health Center in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Paul Kim has a strong interest in research and has authored multiple book chapters and peer-reviewed scientific articles. He has presented many presentations in addition to being awarded research grants from the N.I.H. and the National Science Foundation. Treating complex disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, Dr. Kim has an interest in minimally-invasive spine surgery, motion-sparing technology/artificial disc replacement, and use of computer-assisted navigation in appropriate patients. Biography: Dr. Blake Berman is a board certified and fellowship trained Neurosurgeon. Prior to joining SCINS he served as the Section Chief of Neurosurgery, Director of the ICON Division of Spinal Surgery, and Co-Director of the Neurosurgery residency program at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California. Dr. Berman is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.
