Dr. Berman did my lumbar surgery. Prior to my surgery I could not walk without assistance, I couldn't drive, I was unable to do minor daily tasks. The pain was horrible, debilitating. I had my surgery, I can walk without assistance, I am driving, I no longer have pain. As I am typing this tears are flowing, tears of joy. I have my life back. Dr. Berman went through all the details of what would be done during the surgery, he has the best bedside manners and truly cares about his patients. Other doctors said to me do not do the surgery it will not help. When I seen Dr. Berman he went through my MRI and explained in detail what was happening. When he performed the surgery and went in he could not believe what he saw, everything from my right side was pushed over to my left. I had a Lumbar fusion on L4-5 a long with a laminectomy. I am so happy with the results. I am forever grateful to Dr. Berman.

Dr. Berman told me that I needed to have lumbar fusion on L3-L4, L4-L5, L5-S1. He performed the surgery and it took 6 hours. Following the surgery which looked great on an XRay, I began to have major problems with my nerves on the left side. I have lost most of the feeling in my right foot, most of my leg, balance is extremely bad and dizziness mixed with the loss of balance has caused me to fall many times, even using a cane. Also, Sciatica is bad. None of these I had prior to his surgery. I had terrible pain my lower back but no problems with my legs or balance or neuropathy, except for some minor peripheral neuropathy. This surgery instead of improving my life and taking me off opioids did exactly the opposite and has made my life 100% worse. Dr. Berman left Palm Springs and yet he had promised me to take care of everything. I don't believe he feels any remorse or responsibility.

My husband had back surgery and this Doctor is the best in all areas. But he was so kind and respectfully and made time to speak to us clearly as to what was going on. Most Doctors come in and out but he took the time he showed us he really cared. And when you go though major back surgery its so hard you need someone who takes the time to care. We will forever be grateful and we pray GODs blessing on this man and his family.
