Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Andrew Pytiak is dedicated to helping young athletes return to, and stay on the playing field. He has fellowship training in both pediatric orthopaedics and sports medicine and is passionate about synthesizing these two disciplines to address the unique challenges presented by young, athletic patients. He honed his skills by providing sideline, training room and practice coverage for multiple Division I collegiate athletic teams at the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of Denver. He has also served as the team physician for Colorado high school football teams. He serves as a resource for patients with fractures, cartilage damage, ligament tears, injured growth plates and torn tendons. Dr. Pytiak is an active researcher in pediatric orthopedics and has multiple publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. A focus of his research is upper extremity injuries in the young throwing athlete. He has lectured and presented research around the world in locations including Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. Motivated by a belief that all children have the right to live happy, healthy lives Dr. Pytiak has also participated in international medical mission trips to help provide basic medical care to medically underserved communities.
