Biography: Dr. Meredith is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine as well as a sports medicine physician at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He's also a team physician for the University of Maryland Terrapins. Dr. Meredith's clinical focus is on care to the hip, knee, and shoulder. He specializes in the latest arthroscopic techniques for joint repair and reconstruction; including ligament repair and reconstruction, cartilage transplantation, tendon repair, osteotomies, and joint replacement. He has a specific clinical focus in hip arthroscopy for femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome and hip labral tears. Dr. Meredith also has particular expertise in quadricep tendon autograft anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. He also performs partial and total knee replacements and total shoulder replacements. Dr. Meredith's research is focused on clinical outcomes and improving results for hip, knee, and shoulder patients. He has published many scientific articles and presented research at numerous scientific conferences. Dr. Meredith is part of the Emerging Leaders Program in the American Orthopaedic Association and volunteers as a committee member for the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Meredith completed his undergraduate degree (B.S.) at the University of Virginia before obtaining his medical degree (M.D.) from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and an orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he assisted in taking care of the University of Pittsburgh Panthers football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Biography: Dr. George Aguiar was drawn to the field of orthopaedics out of a desire to help improve and change the lives of patients with acute and chronic injuries. Intrigued by the constant challenge to stay abreast of the latest technologies and procedures within the orthopaedic specialty, Dr. Aguiar enjoys interacting daily with patients and using his surgical skills to improve patient disabilities. Biography: Finding great satisfaction in watching someone recover from an injury and return to living, Dr. David Novak chose the field of orthopaedic surgery because he wanted to have a direct impact on the quality of life of his patients. After earning a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Novak received his medical degree from Georgetown University where he was named a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Medical Honor Society. He remained in Washington, DC, at Georgetown University Medical Center to complete a residency in orthopaedic surgery. He then completed advanced fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys, California. Dr. Novak worked intensively with some of the best sports and arthroscopic surgeons in the country during his fellowship training and today is able to perform advanced arthroscopic techniques for a number of orthopaedic problems.
