He completed his internship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, in 1983, and his residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., in 1988, upon which time he returned to Central Virginia. Dr. Smith has been caring for patients in the TriCities community and working in partnership with Dr. Rayudu Jujjavarapu since 1988.
