Biography: Jinsy A. Andrews, MD, MSc, FAAN is an Associate Professor of Neurology, in the Division of Neuromuscular Medicine and serves as the Director of Neuromuscular Clinical Trials. She currently oversees neuromuscular clinical trials and cares for patients with neuromuscular disease, primarily with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Dr. Andrews has extensive experience in all phases of human clinical trials and drug development in both the academic and industry settings. Biography: Dr. Iwamoto is a neuro-oncologist whose previous training includes a neurology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and a neuro-oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. For over three years, Dr. Iwamoto was an attending physician and an investigator at the Neuro-oncology Branch, a trans-institute branch of the National Cancer Institute and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, in Bethesda, MD. At the intramural NIH, Dr. Iwamoto was a principal investigator in early phase clinical trials for brain tumors and worked with laboratory and computational scientists on several translational projects in brain tumors. Biography: Dr. Sarah Flanagan Wesley graduated from medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, followed by residency in adult neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and then fellowship in neuroimmunology at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Wesley was on faculty at Yale as an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the neuroimmunology subdivision until joining faculty at Columbia in 2020. Biography: Dr. Jose Gutierrez is anAssociate Professor of Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center in the city of New York. Last, a regular participant in the annual Neurology on the Hill legislative advocacy event, and a former participant and advisor in the AAN Palatucci Advocacy Leadership Forum, he is deeply committed to improving population health through media engagement and advocacy.
