Dr. Bhatia evaluated my symptoms of numbness and imbalance and ordered an MRI of the brain, which showed nothing. He advised he could not support further testing because my symptoms were clearly psychosomatic. I was evaluated by another neurologist, who ordered a lumbar MRI that showed clear damage impacting the side with the symptoms. Last I checked, Dr. Bhatia has no psychiatric qualifications. He failed to order a basic neurological diagnostic, resulting in an extensive delay in treatment.

Dr. Bhatia allowed an out-of-network doctor to read my EEG results, which resulted in me receiving a bill for $10,000. 9 months and countless of hours of work (phone calls, letters, emails) later, we are finally getting it straightened out with the insurance company. I owe nothing, which I knew from the beginning, but this shouldn't have happened.
