Biography: Dr. Amit Nanda is a general cardiologist with a sub-specialization in advanced cardiac imaging. Dr. Nanda has a remarkable academic background. He completed his medical school with exceptional dedication and academic excellence from the 6 year BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, which uniquely equipped him to approach cardiovascular care as a critical thinker, collaborative learner, and a patient advocate. His journey towards becoming a cardiologist began at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency. His unwavering desire to learn and vast research and clinical experience took him to further pursue a career in cardiology. He completed his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the renowned Rush University Medical Center. Building on his passion for cardiac imaging, he pursued specialized training at the world-renowned Columbia University Medical Center. He is level III certified in cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, SPECT/PET nuclear imaging, and echocardiography.
