José A. Lopez, MD, is one of the most experienced parathyroid surgeons in the world today, having performed over 5,000 parathyroidectomies. He has dedicated the last 10 years of his career to the exclusive pursuit of parathyroid disease with a particular focus on patients whose disease is complicated by scar tissue from prior surgeries and patients with coexisting thyroid tumors. Known for his exceptional surgical skill, Dr. Lopez has helped perfect the advanced techniques of minimally invasive parathyroidectomy used to quickly identify the four parathyroid glands in surgery. He earned his medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis, MO and completed his residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Huang then went on to complete a fellowship with the LifeLink Transplant Institute in Tampa. He currently serves as the surgical director of renal transplantation for Tampa General Medical Group and is the vice chief of general surgery at Tampa General Hospital. Dr. Huang also holds an affiliate assistant professor appointment from the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, department of surgery. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, basketball, violin and photography. Dr. Huang is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, Spanish and French.

Marian Porubsky, M.D., is a board-certified general surgeon and transplant surgeon. He is fully-trained in all aspects of abdominal transplant surgery including liver, kidney and pancreas transplants as well as laparoscopic donor nephrectomies. He also specializes in the surgical treatment of diseases of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas. A native of Slovakia, Dr. Porubsky completed his medical training at Komensky University in Bratislava, Slovakia. He has worked at a number of universities and hospitals around the world including surgery departments in Slovakia, Germany, Illinois, Indiana and Arizona. He is a member of The United Network for Organ Sharing, The American Society for Transplant Surgeons, The American College of Surgeons and The American Medical Association.
