He is precise and meticulous in his surgical expertise AND his recovery and aftercare. Once you are a surgical patient of Dr. Small, then you are his for the long haul. His personal office assiatant, Leeann is kind and compassionate and available to you even years out from surgery, to answer questions and liasion between you and Dr. Small for any questions. Had a Lap Cholecystectomy = Gall Bladder removal. Had bilateral herniorrhaphy= Hernia repair right and left sides. Back to work fast. Both procedures performed by Dr. Small. Not only did I have excellent results, but, my own patients would rave about the results of the procedures' performed by all members of this group. Wonderful surgeons and staff. And nice, attentive, caring individuals as well. 2 Thumbs Up.

I saw Dr. Small last year. He came highly recommended by a friend. Has very high credentials in his field. I found him very nice and easygoing. The visit went very well. Dr. Small was very informative and knowledgeable. I felt very much at ease. Also his staff was friendly and helpful.

Quick to judge your situation. Can cause more distress. Lack of understanding. Was not the case when I had hernia repair back in 2017. He was excellent then, buy now? What has happened to Dr. Small?

Doctor Theodore Small is expert in his field. He repaired my Hiatal Hernia doing Nissen Fundoplication. I went into Mease Countryside Hospital at 5am one day and I returned home by 5pm the next. No more GERD. I’m repaired. The results are amazing. I feel fortunate.

I recently visited Dr. Small for a possible small intestine cancer tumor removal. Dr. Small refered me to Moffit cancer center because he determined that the tumor was too close to the major arteries feeding the small intstine and the surgery would be very risky. I commend Dr. small for turning my case down instesad of just doing it and hoping for the best. Dr Small saved my life by refering me to Dr. Anaya at Moffit. Dr. Small also perfomed laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery on me December 2018 and my brother in law in 2019. To this day I have no pain and I am able to remain at my current fitness level. Dr Small takes the time to listen to you and explains the procedure in detail. He even sketched the problem with my small intesine cancer and how the inguinla hernia is performed. I would highly recommend Dr. Small for any GI surgery

I had an intestinal cancer in my cecum which Dr. Small removed with the use of the DaVinci robotic surgery machine. Everything about the surgery and my recovery went very well. One year later, I am in excellent health. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Small, his surgical team, and the hospital care I received at the hospital for this operation.

My hernia surgeon Dr. Theodore smile surgical associates of West Florida his office is in the hospitals medical arts building was fantastic it was hard to find a guy who did lots of these operations all the time and had a good name which he does have had three of these done at the same time and they went very smooth and seem to be working out well if I could’ve given him a higher recommendation I would have i’m glad I found this site it was very hard to find recommendations about other surgeons that were closer to me but when I finally did I found out that they did not do a lot of operations like this and they even recommended some of the wrong things and when I did finally find something about them had Bed write up’s .I believe this doctor is the best in this field for hernia operations And if you’re looking you should use this man they did the procedure at Mease countryside and they were also wonderful my insurance is Florida blue select and Dr. Small except it ?????????????????

Had an appointment with Dr. Small yesterday. The best from beginning to end of appointment. He was on time, listened and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Small if you have questions or concerns about a hernia.

Condescending and disrespectful. Causing more emotional distress to patients isn't a very good idea, doc.

Dr Small performed my Hernia surgery. He is such an awesome and caring physician. His staff is awesome as well. He truly let's you know he cares about your health. I highly recommend him!
