Dr. Desai obtained his medical degree from South Gujarat University, India. He completed residency in Internal Medicine from Catholic Medical Center, affiliated with Cornell University in New York. He completed fellowship training in Gastroenterology from Bronx-Lebanon Hospital affiliated with Albert Einstein Medical School in New York. Dr. Desai also has Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of South Florida, Tampa. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has been in private practice in Pinellas County since 1992. He is a member of American College of Gastroenterology and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Desai practices all aspects of Gastroenterology with special interest in colon cancer screening, therapeutic biliary endoscopy, small intestine capsule endoscopy and liver disease.

Dr. Santiago also completed both a fellowship and research fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of South Florida. An advocate for education, Dr. Santiago gives regular presentations on the topics of colon and rectal cancers, including education reaching the Spanish-speaking population. Dr. Santiago is a proud Veteran, having served as a Major in the United States Army.
