He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 1992. He then sought advanced training in digestive diseases and liver disorders at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Axelrad joined the Gastroenterology Group now Gastro Health in 1995.His interests include biliary tract disorders, liver disease, gastrointestinal malignancy and interventional endoscopy. He has authored numerous abstracts, articles and book chapters.Dr. Axelrad enjoys spending time with his family (including two dogs), traveling, reading and swimming.

Biography: Allen Blosser, MD, is an expert gastroenterologist at Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates, serving adults in and around Fairfax and Reston, Virginia. With over 30 years in the field, Dr. Blosser is board-certified and has demonstrable experience working with colonoscopies and stomach disorder treatments. Dr. Blosser received his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1988. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, in 1991, where he followed up with his gastroenterology fellowship through 1993.
