Excellent Physician
I’ve had two colonoscopies and an endoscopy performed by Dr. Hegab. He’s intelligent and thorough and able to explain complex conditions in simple, easy to understand language without patronizing the patient. He is also up to date on the latest information concerning diseases, disorders, treatment options, pharmaceuticals, and surgical procedures.

The best gastroenterologist ever! His kindness and compassion is beyond words. He also is not going to let something go. If he thinks something is wrong but doesn't know what it is right away he will figure it out, no matter what.

I would highly recommend Dr. Hegab. He is the BEST!!!! There are really no words to even describe how caring, compassionate, and understanding he is when you are going through a procedure such as Esophagogastroduodenoscopy. I was a little worried at first; just thought of being put to sleep scares me but he was there every step of the way. Great job. I will never, ever go to anymore hospitals in Washington DC. Inova is great and so are the Doctors. Happy New Year's Dr. Hegab!

Dr. Hegab is trained in gastroenterology, hepatology, transplant medicine and advanced biliary endoscopy. He is currently the Vice President of Clinical Affairs for the Virginia Division of Gastro Health and serves on the Board of Directors for the Medical Society of Northern Virginia. He is fluent in Arabic.
