Biography: Dr. Taskin joined Digestive Health Associates (now UM Shore Medical Group-Gastroenterology) in November 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia University. He is a graduate of West Virginia University School of Medicine. He completed a residency and internship at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh. His Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship was performed at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Digestive Health Associates, he practiced gastroenterology in Charleston, West Virginia, and was Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at West Virginia University. Biography: Dr. Kunnackal John received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from St. John's Medical College and Hospital in Bangalore, India. He was selected as a Rhodes Scholar in 2010 and went on to earn a master's degree in global health science and a master's degree of research in clinical medicine from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. After receiving two master's degrees, Dr. Kunnackal John came to Baltimore, Maryland, where he completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, following this with his fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He joined UM Shore Medical Group in 2018.

Biography: Hamza Merza Abdulla, MD, joined Shore Medical Group-Gastroenterology in July 2020, after completing a gastrointestinal and hepatology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Tex., and previously, a fellowship in motility and neurogastroenterology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Abdulla earned both his M.D. and B.S. degrees from Arabian Gulf University School of Medicine in Bahrain. He served as a clinical intern at Salmaniya Medical Complex in Bahrain and completed his residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga. In addition to his clinical experience, Abdulla completed research training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.; the Medical College of Wisconsin; and the Medical College of Georgia. He has published widely in the field of gastroenterology.
