Care Philosophy: Dr. Kartis strives to achieve 'The Golden Rule' in patient care: He strives to treat each and every patient as he would hope that he or a member of his own family would be treated if he or they were the patient. In effect, he strives to treat each and every patient as if they were a member of his own actual family. 'Treating' patients does not always mean for a surgeon to perform surgery. Equally important is for a surgeon to know when to not operate. However it is often necessary for a surgeon to determine this and review the non-surgical options as well. Patients will feel more reassured to hear that they do not need an operation when that determination comes from a surgeon! Dr. Kartis treats his patients with the utmost of respect and dignity.
