Cardiac Cath
He did a cardiac cath with a back up pump on my father this month and my father experienced Constant chest pain for two days after the procedure followed by worsening of angina by at least 30%. He never communicated with my father after the procedure and never even followed up with him. My father‘s primary cardiologist did not receive any follow up communication from Dr. Matar for at least three weeks until he demanded it

The Best Pro-active heart Doctor in Tampa
I have been with Dr Matar for over 10 years. He is responsive and has done a great deal to ensure that I have survived my heart issues, which now include 2 stints. I consider myself lucky to have been under his care. Note that I have gone to other heart doctors previously and he by far is and has been superior. He is a wonderful practitioner.

Dr. F Matar has been my Cardiologist since Sept 2003. He is the friendliest doctor I have ever encountered. He takes as much time with you as You need, so at times there maybe a wait, but its well worth it as he gives each patient his undivided attention. He as literally saved my life twice, the last time the hospital only gave me a 20% chance of living. But Dr. Matar worked ungodly hours to ensure I completely recovered. Not only will I NOT see anyone else but will not recommend anyone but him

New to Tampa and am military. Met with Dr Matar today. After 20 yrs of service I've seen a few doctors. Hands down Dr Matar is one of the best. I've never written a review before but he's deserving. Highly recommend him.

Been seeing Dr Matar since 2005. He fixed a life threatening situation another cardiologist missed. He's extremely professional and a extremely talented doctor with very good bed side manners. I've had numerous heart caterizations leading to triple by pass. I had been to 3 cardiologist before landing at TGH and he's the only Dr that displayed the confidence and ability to take the proper measures. I sincerely think, thanks to him, I'm here today. be here today.

Husband had been evaluated by another cardiologist with stress test and EKG but he kept asking about husbands chest pain which he kept telling the Dr. No chest pains and the Dr.'s nurse was a ditz. Our primary when pressured to recommend a cardiologist that HE would go to, recommended Dr. Matar. Dr. Matar went over all the test results with my husband, answered all his questions directly in layman's language. My husband I felt reassured and confident in Dr. Matar's evaluation.

He explained the plans thoroughly in his office and took the time to listen to my long medical history. He was compassionate. In the cath lab he told me what he was going to do and showed me the coronary arteries I prefer Dr. Matar to any other cardiologist I know or have visited. Worth the drive to Tampa.

I am so grateful to Dr. Matar. Since I had never had an arterial cauterization, I did not know what to expect. Only much later did I learn how hard he worked while working on me. I'm ready to get on his waiting list to become his patient. I was referred to him for this procedure. The answers below pertain to the procedure (intake 6am to discharge 24 hours later) at TGH. I first met Dr. Matar when I needed a heart catherization done. He has a wonderful bedside manner is seems to be truly concerned about what is going on with you and your health in general. My husband is having a heart cath done by Dr. Matar tomorrow at TGH and we are both assured that this procedure will go well.
