After graduation, Dr. Woodworth was commissioned a 2nd lieutenant in the United States Army Medical Service Corps. He deferred his military duty so he could attend medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine followed by a general surgery residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Wichita. During his career, Dr. Woodworth has partnered with the medical industry to facilitate the development, application, and advocation of medical technologies and procedures.
