He also serves shoulders consultant for the NBA San Antonio Spurs.Dr. Curtis serves on the board of directors for the Texas High School Coaches Foundation. He is a past president of the Texas Society of Sports Medicine and is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicines and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.Dr. Curtis has been honored with Distinguished Service Awards by the Southwest Athletic Trainers Association and the Texas High School Coaches Association.
