Biography: Since graduating from Klein High School and the University of St Thomas (UST) in Houston, Dr. Peer completed both medical school and his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston. He then received his fellowship training in rheumatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) in Dallas. He is certified in both rheumatology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Dr. Peer enjoys treating patients with all forms of arthritis and connective tissue disorders. He has a special interest in performing musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided injections to relieve pain and discomfort. He has also taught rheumatology to medical students as a volunteer preceptor and served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at his alma mater, the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). Dr. Peer is a fellow of the American of College of Rheumatology (ACR) and the American College of Physicians (ACP), along with being a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), Texas Medical Association (TMA) and Harris County Medical Society (HCMS). When not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, reading, watching movies and playing tennis.
