Biography: A native of Chile, Dr. Martinez graduated from the University of Chile medical school in Santiago in 1970. As a young M.D., he completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of West Virginia in Wheeling, West Virginia.In 1979 he began practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology in Brownsville, Texas. Dr. Martinez achieved advanced credentials to become Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Board Certified in Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (F.A.C.O.G.) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.) Dr. D, as he is respectfully known, has long supported professional development. He pioneered in Brownsville, the collaborative practice model utilizing nurse practitioners to assist women in a holistic approach to healthcare. Dr. Martinez has served his community as Chief of OB/GYN and Chief of Staff at Valley Regional Medical Center and Brownsville Medical Center. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Valley Regional Medical Center. Dr. Martinez's community service includes over 30 years of volunteering his time and expertise to the Cameron County Maternity Clinic and indigent care of Brownsville's women.

Biography: Liliana Padilla-Williams, MD, FACOG was born and raised in Brownsville Texas. After graduating from high school she went to Texas A&M University for her undergraduate studies, then on to The University of Texas at Houston Medical School. She completed her residency training in Shreveport, La where she met her husband. She is currently board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and provides up to date evidence based medicine to all her patients.Her main interests involve educating her patients in living a quality lifestyle including healthy eating, proper exercise, and preventive medicine to avoid life long illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity. She feels starting at a young age will provide the needed foundation to a healthy life. She offers nutritional counseling as well as vitamin supplementation. She sees women in all stages of their reproductive life from childhood issues, to postmenopausal women.

Biography: Dr. Wilson attended the University of Texas at Austin and then went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1980. He then completed an OB/GYN residency at the University of Texas Southwestern at Parkland Memorial Hospital and has been in private practice in McAllen since 1984. He was a Clinical Associate Professor at UTHSC San Antonio from 2012-2017 and has been on the UTRGV Medical School Admissions Committee since its inception. In his role as the Medical Student Community Coordinator, he recruits and is the liaison for the Ob-Gyn community physicians who serve as preceptors for the medical students. He is a member of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, the Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
