Dr. Suarez-Cavelier earned his medical degree from the Medical School Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Columbia, where he also completed his first residency in general surgery. After moving to the U.S., Dr. Suarez-Cavelier completed three more residencies. At Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY, he finished an additional general surgery residency. He then completed residencies in vascular surgery, as well as cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at Carolinas Healthcare System in Charlotte, NC. For his two fellowships in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, he practiced at both Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, OR.

Biography: Thomas Mathews, MD is Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology, and received his medical degree from Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mathews completed an Internship and a Residency in Internal Medicine at Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, followed by a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology/Cardiology at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, University.
