Dr. Ion Botnaru, MD

DISGUSTING experience, terrible person. I went to the ER bc I had just had a tooth surgery but was having heart palpitations from some light anesthesia. The ER at Advent did 4 heart tests and said my heart was good, but wanted me to follow up with Botnaru. I saw him in December. and he was completely out of line and acted like I had heart problems, trying to scare me. He told me I had to do 4 more tests and told me I had to do a stress test. During the stress test, I stopped on my own and he SCREAMED at me.,” WHAT NOW!”Tells me to rush to ER and sends me in DISTRESS. I get to the ER and get the SAME dr from Nov who ALREADY checked my heart and said I was good! He didn’t know why Ion sent me. He called Ion and Ion lies to him telling him I “FAILED”the stress test and I have blockage.Next day, I did a INVASIVE heart cath angioplasty procedure thanks to this sick, lying Ion B. and they said I had No Blockage. This man just sends patients to ER for procedures for NO REASON! Unbelievable!

My search for a new cardiologist stopped after my first visit with Dr. Botnaru. My family history and a few unusual episodes with a racing heart led me to Dr. Botnaru. I was thrilled with his focus on a "preventative path" for me, and the cautionary actions he recommended. I highly recommend Dr. Botnaru to anyone with existing or symptomatic heart concerns. I left my first visit crystal clear with my next steps and future path for my heart care. ?? Big THANK YOU to the amazing staff in Palm Harbor.

If you can see Dr Botnaru he seems to know what he is doing. Unfortunately the practice is a complete train wreckI have left three messages for Dr Botnaru over the last 10 days. NO RESPONSEI am looking for a new Cardiologist

The best doctor you could have. Excellent!

Dr. Botnaru is top notch but his office is terrible to deal with. I had an appointment scheduled and when I showed up for it they had cancelled it. When I asked why no one called to tell me I was told they did and I told them I was too busy to talk to them. That was simply not true. I never recieved a call. Now, my partner has a mass on his bladder and we have been trying for two weeks to get someone from Dr. Botnaru's office to release him for surgery and indicate when he can stop taking blood thinners. Every time the staff would say they will get back to us by close of business and they never do. My partner has had to reschedule his surgery twice and God only knows if this mass is cancerous how it might be spreading. While we love Dr. Bornaru his staff leaves a lot to be desired. They are very unorganized and dismissive. We may have to search for another cardiologist as a result.

While under Dr. Botnaru’s care for a cardiac procedure I was impressed with his demeanor and knowledge.

Dr. Botnaru was the cardiologist on call during my recent hospital stay. I immediately felt confident of his ability to help me with my heart problem. He explained everything thoroughly and helped me get through a rough time. I highly recommend Dr. Botnaru MD.

My husband, Jim, had angiogram by Dr. Botnaru yesterday, with a stent put in at same time. Today is the day after the procedure, and I just watched Jim take a long, slow, deep breath, then he said, " It's sooooo good to be able to breathe deeply again!" Dr. B is kind, patient, makes us laugh, and he gave my wonderful husband a wonderful ?? overhaul. When I complained that I'd knock this review down to only one star if he advised no more bacon for Jim, Dr. B replied to go ahead & have one slice per week, because he wants at least TWO stars!
