A graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Dr. Maynard completed his residency in at the University of Virginia before beginning his career at Vanderbilt. Dr. Maynard has consistently been named one of the Top 1% of America's Most Honored Professionals.

Care Philosophy: Growing up, I knew I wanted a job where I could help others. As a medical oncologist and researcher, not only do I get to improve people's lives through treatments that help them feel better and live longer, I also get to further the knowledge of the scientific community through research.
