Dr. Shaw is fantastic. He is very compassionate and listens to you. I get extremely nervous going to the doctor and I normally cry. Dr. Shaw was patient with me and so kind. I definitely recommend Dr. Shaw to anyone, especially to people who may be looking for someone HAES friendly who cares about your mental and emotional health too vs. just your weight. I'm so grateful I have found a new PCP that I feel safe with. I'd give him 5 million stars if I could.

Dr. Shaw listens to you, he is spot on with diagnosis, he hears your whole story, he does not jump to conclusions. he has a personal interest in your health and compassion unlike other doctors I have seen today. He is an excellent doctor and I trust him!

Dr. Shaw diagnosed my husband's adrenal issues almost immediately after we had been to specialists who could not determine a diagnosis. Appreciate his attention to details and listening to our explanation of symptoms through 27 years of his being our primary doctor.

Dr. Shaw is by far the most thorough doctor I have ever been to. You may have a wait time, but you get what you wait for! After 5 years of suffering, I finally had a diagnosis that we could treat simply because he listens to what you. A lot of MDs lack a sense of humanity, but Dr. Shaw sees each patient as person and that makes all the difference~

Dr. Shaw is one of those rare doctors who goes out of his way for you, personally returning calls and following up to make sure you understand things and get what you need. I’ve never had a doctor more willing to go out of his way and spend his personal time on my needs.

If you have a depression diagnosis he will will just relate any physical symptoms to depression. In my case, he missed a diagnosis of a serious bone disease because he ignored my lab tests and said my body aches were just due to depression. I now have significant damage to my bones, joints and heart thanks to Dr. Shaw.

For over 20 years, Dr. John Shaw has been the physician for both my husband and me. He is now the GP for our grown children. He takes his time with you, is very thorough and follows up. HIs nursing and support staff are friendly and kind. I am very grateful to have a physician I can trust, someone who knows me as a person, not just a chart number.
