Biography: Ahmad Fashandi, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Chippenham Orthopedics, affiliated with Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Fashandi earned his medical degree at University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency and an orthopedic surgery trauma fellowship at University of Virginia. In addition, he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Virginia.Dr. Fashandi is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has specialized training in orthopedic surgeries for traumatic injuries and joint replacements. He provides comprehensive management of fractures of acute and chronic injuries for adults and children including pelvic and acetabular fractures as well as pathology involving soft tissue and infection. In addition, he provides general orthopedic care. When not caring for patients, Dr. Fashandi enjoys cooking, wood working, exercise, and spending time with his two young daughters.

Biography: A distinguished surgeon, Dr. Kump has spent his career serving both his patients and his country. This Colonel and US Army Reservist was an active duty US Army Physician at the McDonald Army Hospital in Fort Eustis, VA. As an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Army Reserves, he was initially commissioned to the Signal Corps and after completing medical school transferred to Medical Corps. In his military career, he was deployed to Germany (Task Force Able Sentry, 1996), Kosovo (Operation Enduring Freedom, 2004-2005), and Iraq (two deployments to support Operation Iraqi Freedom, 2008 and 2011). He serves as orthopaedic surgeon to the VMI athletes.
