Dr. Fashandi is amazing!
Dr. Fashandi knew all about my medical history and current situation. Waiting time from checking in was about 15 minutes. He educated me about health situation and gave me advice on a treatment plan going forward. He is exceptionally nice and intelligent. I recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic care or has orthopedic trama.

“Why would you..”
I had been having intense numbness, tingling, and electrical symptoms running down both arms for a few weeks and Dr. Fashandi did not take my concerns seriously. He kept asking me “Why would you see an orthopedic surgeon about this” instead of focusing on my issue. I didn’t specifically choose a surgeon I just called OrthoVA in general to get an appointment set up and they placed me under his care. My symptoms did not get better, and I didn’t seek additional care for a while because I kept hearing the echos of his belittling question..My symptoms progressed and recently I found out that the symptoms were caused by a mass. I hope in the future he provides better care to his patients.

Dr. Fashandi is amazing!
Super professional and friendly. He definitely knew what he was talking about. He didn’t rush and he took the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions. I am a first time ankle breaker LOL! and I didn’t know what to expect. He was awesome!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Loved Dr. Fashandi
Dr. Fashandi is the best! I had a pretty bad accident a year ago, and he put my foot back together again. Today I’m pretty much back to normal! This is the ortho guy to see for all things trauma related!

Excellent surgeon
I was involved in an accident and had a tibia plateau fracture. My surgery was scheduled as the first of that day. Dr. Fashandi came into pre-op 30 minutes before was scheduled to. He asked how I was feeling (nervous etc), explained the process and asked if I had any questions. It was obvious that the hospital team holds Dr. Fashandi in high regards, a tell-tell sign of a great doctor.

Great doctor! I highly recommend him!
I had a broken tibia plateau which needed surgery. Successful surgery and I recovered very quickly and with very little pain. The right doctor means a lot.

Great doctor, lengthy check-in wait times
Dr. Fashandi and all of his staff are very kind, knowledgeable, and seem organized and expedient. I’ve been to see him twice and didn’t have to wait long in the exam room. My only constructive criticism would be that perhaps they could adopt a system so patients could “take a number” if there’s a delay at the check-in desk. The current system leaves elderly people and people with painful ortho injuries standing in line for 20+ minutes sometimes. One man with a back injury kept having to kneel on the floor, and other patients in line wrangled heavy waiting room chairs to the queue area to get off of their feet. There must be a better way.
