Biography: Dr. Bahari was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest in a small town near Salem, Oregon. She completed her bachelor of science at the University of Washington in Cell & Molecular Biology with magna cum laude honors at the age of nineteen. She became fascinated with cancer genetics and spent two years at Oregon Health & Sciences University in the basic sciences researching colon cancer (HNPCC). On a more personal note, she is married to Dr. Anhtung Chau who is a gastroenterologist in Jacksonville, FL and they have a son, Jason.
