Care Philosophy: My philosophy is to help women realize there is usually a simple fix for their urinary or bowel issues. Problems with vaginal prolapse, urinary incontinence and fecal incontinence are SO common, but don't have to be. My team can help. Sometimes it's as easy as teaching them healthy bladder and bowel habits. The great thing about my field is that it's very symptom-focused, meaning that treatments can be as conservative or non-invasive as a woman desires depending on how much her symptoms bother her.

She later earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1994. She entered the Army as a Medical Corps Officer, and after completion of her internship and residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, she served on staff at Darnall Army Community Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas. After leaving the Army in 2002, she entered private practice in Florida and moved to Virginia in 2004. Dr. Brown is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). She is an active staff member of Chippenham Hospital. Dr. Brown provides comprehensive obstetrics and gynecologic care to women of all ages, including the care of adolescents.
