Care Philosophy: My passion for foot and ankle surgery stems from the ability to improve patients' quality of life and return to daily activities. It's important to remember that we are dealing with quality of life issues. Therefore, I support you, the patient, in driving the decision-making process for the path we take to improve your daily life. It's uncommon to face a condition in foot and ankle disorders in which a surgical intervention must be performed. I will inform you, educate you and answer your questions so you can make a well-informed decision that's right for you and your goals.

Care Philosophy: I am an orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship-trained in hip and knee replacement. Patients with osteoarthritis, or any type of arthritis, may benefit from replacement surgery. I also offer partial knee replacement which can be an excellent option for patients with severe arthritis in just one part of their knee. I chose this specialty because so many patients say, "I feel like I got my life back," after having surgery; there is nothing more thrilling than hearing that. When treating hip and knee arthritis, I think it is critical to exhaust all nonoperative treatments, and then to work with each patient to decide when it's the right time for them to have surgery. After surgery, I want to help patients get through recovery and rehabilitation as quickly as possible so they can get back to the activities they enjoy.

Care Philosophy: I enjoy caring for patients who have a wide variety of bone, joint and muscle problems and have a special interest in patients who have hip and knee arthritis. My goal is to improve my patients' quality of life by relieving pain and returning them to the highest level of function possible, with a focus on patient-centered care. I focus on primary total hip and knee replacements, partial knee replacements, and complex revision hip and knee replacements. I have completed additional subspecialty training in joint replacement surgery and had the opportunity to train at the #1 ranked hospital for orthopedics in the country. Not only do I strive to be an excellent technical surgeon, but I also want to provide my patients with a comfortable environment where they feel that they are truly listened to and are treated with care, compassion and respect. I am happy to have the opportunity to return to practice in the Twin Cities, where I grew up, and to be closer to my family. Outside of orthopedic surgery, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, photography and Pilates!
