Care Philosophy: Bryan J. Mills, MD is an Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in the treatment of hand and wrist injuries and ailments. He chose the hand and wrist as his specialty due to their importance in a patient's everyday life, but also because it is an intricate part of the body that involves so many different aspects of the orthopedics field.

Dr. Smith is a hand and upper extremity surgeon working at Texas Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine. He is originally from Conroe and attended Conroe High School. Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Oklahoma with honors and then received his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine, graduating with highest honors and was granted admission into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He received his orthopaedic training at Scott & White Hospital and continued with advanced fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at The University of Chicago. During his training, he worked directly under Dr. Daniel Mass, one of the world's leading experts in tendon injury and upper extremity surgery. He returned to the Tomball/Woodlands area after being an associate professor of upper extremity surgery at Scott & White Hospital. There he instructed residents and young surgeons on the latest techniques and trauma care for upper extremity injuries. Throughout his career, he has learned, performed and researched the most advanced, cutting-edge techniques in hand and upper extremity care providing care for several Major League Baseball teams and serving as one of the team physicians for the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks. Currently, he takes care of the entire spectrum of upper extremity injuries and enjoys the multidisciplinary approach of orthopedic treatment at Texas Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine. He continues to be very active in the community and assists in athletic coverage for several local high schools and organizations: Cypress-Creek, Dekaney, Klein, Klein Forest, Klein Collins, Waller, Magnolia, Magnolia West, and Tomball high schools. He lives in The Woodlands with his wife, Emily, and their two boys, Luke and Charlie. Treatment Focus: Hand, Wrist, Elbow, and Shoulder Care.

Biography: Brian Vial is a fellowship-trained hand, wrist, and upper extremity surgeon specializing in operative and non-operative treatment of fractures from the hand to the shoulder, nerve entrapment such as carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, peripheral nerve injuries, tendon injuries, rotator cuff tears, and arthritis of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. He also holds an interest in targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR), a surgery that can alleviate post-operative nerve pain for amputees.Dr. Vial enjoys the complexity of upper extremity surgery and utilizes a multimodal, evidence-based approach to treatment. He believes that the best outcomes occur when the patient shares in the decision-making process; therefore, he prioritizes ensuring his patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
