Biography: Nicolas Villa, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist on the team at Pioneer GI Clinic. He is dedicated to providing exceptional services to help restore a better quality of life to patients in Anchorage, Alaska.Dr. Villa completed his residency and fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and received the McIntosh Award (given to the top resident). He went on to complete an advanced GI fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Villa sat on the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) Quality Committee for a three-year term from 2015-2018. At Pioneer GI Clinic, Dr. Villa's special interests are endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Barrett's esophagus ablation, endoluminal stenting, and endoscopic mucosal resection. His expertise in these advanced endoscopic techniques will allow a number of Alaska cancer patients to receive their care locally, for which they now travel to the lower 48. After completing his Transitional Medicine Internship at Bethesda, Maryland, he completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Kaszubowski has served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Dr. Kaszubowski is passionate and dedicated to high-quality medical care for patients with all types of digestive and liver disorders. He has a particular interest in inflammatory bowel and liver disease.

Biography: Dr. Rojas De Leon is board-certified Advanced Interventional Endoscopy Gastroenterologist with over 17 years of diverse experience, particularly in Gastroenterology. She graduated with honors in 2007, demonstrating her dedication and expertise in the field. Additionally, Dr. Rojas De Leon is fluent in Spanish, enhancing our ability to serve a diverse patient population.
