Biography: Dr. Marc Sandrolini is a Psychiatrist in Illinois who has been practicing since 1996. Dr. Sandrolini attended medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed his residency in adult psychiatry at the University of Illinois Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Yale University. Dr. Sandrolini understands that effective treatment starts with a conversation. Dr. Sandrolini helps his patients feel heard, accepted, and understood, so that they can feel comfortable sharing difficult details and sensitive concerns. Dr. Sandrolini has a clinical focus on evidence-based assessment and treatment. He specializes in mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorders, ADHD, trauma, personality disorders, and autistic spectrum disorders. Outside of work, Dr. Sandrolini enjoys traveling the world, baking at home, and engaging in art and music.

Care Philosophy: I began my career in mental healthcare as a staff nurse in a psychiatric inpatient hospital. Driven by a desire to provide the highest quality of care, I pursued further education and earned my MSN as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), graduating in December 2019. Since then, I have worked in outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization program (PHP) settings as a PMHNP. I treat adult patients aged 18 and older with conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, and bipolar disorder. I use my comprehensive training and expertise to find the most effective solutions for my patients. I have also created and delivered presentations to state and national nursing organizations on topics such as medical mimics of psychiatric disorders and the connection between childhood trauma and adult illness. These insights, from the simplest to the most complex cases, directly inform my approach to patient care.
