Biography: Dr. Johnson specializes in minimally-invasive and advanced surgical treatment of the spine. He has special interest in cervical disc arthroplasty, surgical navigation and robotics. He also manages general orthopedic conditions and provides fracture care. Care Philosophy: In developing treatment plans, I believe in treating each patient individually and as family. In circumstances where surgery is involved, I recommend the least invasive techniques to accomplish patient specific treatment goals. I am a firm believer that treating spine conditions takes a team and I collaborate with both my nonoperative and operative colleagues in patient care.

Care Philosophy: Recognized for his empathy and compassion, Dr. Steinhaus treats every patient as he would his own family and tries to avoid surgery whenever possible to get patients back to doing what they love, whether that's elite performance in athletics or playing with grandkids. When surgery is required, Dr. Steinhaus uses his specialized training in minimally invasive techniques including tubular, endoscopic, and robot-assisted surgery to provide cutting edge care, giving patients the best outcome while minimizing pain. Care Philosophy: Dr. Kimball has advanced training in anterior, lateral, posterior as well as minimally invasive approaches to the lumbar spine. He strongly believes that each patient has unique pathology that can be best managed with patient specific surgery. He has additional training in Computer Navigated Spine Surgery as well as Robotic Spine Surgery and was the first surgeon to perform Robotic Spine Surgery in Utah Valley. In all situations Dr. Kimball strives to limit his surgical intervention to those patients who have absolutely failed conservative care. It is very important to Dr. Kimball that each patient leave the office visit with a solid understanding of their pathology and that the decisions regarding medical treatment are made in conjunction his patients.?

Biography: Ally Doxey, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant practicing orthopedic surgery at Salt Lake Orthopedic Clinic located in St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ally graduated from the University of Utah with her bachelor's in biology and chemistry before continuing into her PA education at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT. Ally became passionate about orthopedic care after a devastating ankle injury requiring extensive orthopedic surgery. As a former collegiate athlete, she finds great joy in helping others maintain a healthy and active lifestyle by treating everything from chronic aches and pains to aiding in complex spinal surgeries. Ally is a huge believer in making patients an active participant in their care through good communication and education. It's very important that her that patients are treated as people rather than just their diagnosis. Her goal is always for patients to leave their appointments with thorough knowledge and understanding of their problem and how it can be correct. Ally still loves to play soccer and ski with her husband in the winter. In the summer they can be found camping and hiking with their two miniature Aussie, Taco and Olive.

Biography: Alexa Nickel is a AANP board certified family nurse practitioner specialist practicing at Salt Lake Orthopaedic Clinic, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Alexa graduated from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah with her degree in exercise science and nursing before continuing into her graduate nurse practitioner degree at the same location. In high school, Alexa had the opportunity to train as a surgical technician. Through this career path at a young age, she was able to work in multiple specialties. Within the first couple months of working in this field she naturally gravitated toward orthopedics and developed a love for the specialty. When she continued on in her education, it was natural choice for her to pursue a career in this specialty. Alexa aims to treat her patients in a way she would want her family members or herself treated. Her goal is to educate the patient to the best of her ability to allow them to jointly make an educated treatment plan that meet the patients' goals. In her free time, Alexa enjoys the beautiful outdoors that Utah has to offer; especially boating, mountain biking, and off roading.

Biography: Chase Naylor is a board-certified PA-C practicing at Salt Lake Orthopaedic Clinic, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Chase has been practicing with the clinic specializing in orthopedics and spine care with Dr. Kade Huntsman. Chase graduated from the University of Utah in 2015, with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. He then continued on to PA school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He earned his master's degree in science, and became board certified as a Physician Assistant. Chase speaks English, Italian, and is proficient in Spanish. Chase grew up in Salt Lake City and is passionate about the outdoors and sports. He is an avid snowboarder and mountain biker. He enjoys many extreme sports and loves passing these passions on to his children.
