I recently had reconstructive surgery and I was very hesitant due to other doctors that I have visited until I saw Dr James Brewster OMG he gave me back my Mobility the staff at his American Fork office 1000% amazing especially the receptionist that guided me there on the phone when I was lost stayed on the phone with me until I got into the parking lot who does that anymore this receptionist did Dr James Brewsters American Fork office nurse meta at pre-op at Long Peak Hospital that only did she did pre-op but came in to check on me on the day of surgery she gave me her word that she would do it and she did it Dr James Brewster the staff the hospital I recommend to anybody it's all of my African Americans out there I've gone through it for you this is the guy you want to go and see don't hesitate don't be in pain you go see Dr James Brewster!!!!!

I went to see several doctors about my back issues and Dr. Brewster was so good to explain my options and helped me through what my choices were. We decided after consulting other doctors we would go to him. He was amazing every question I had he returned my call personally he came to see me in the hospital two or three times a day. He didn’t just send a nurse to respond to my questions. He has been an excellent doctor and the relief in my leg has been amazing. I would highly recommend if you have that problems that you make an appointment and at least have a consultation with him , I know you will choose him out of any other doctor. He has been amazing.

I have suffered from migraines since I was 13. In 2011 I had brain surgery that never should have been done and since that for thirteen and a half years I have had chronic every day migraines. I was referred to Dr Brewster and he said I needed neck surgery. On May 8th I had the surgery and I have only had 2 small migraines. I feel so much better and I am so thankful he has helped me. He is the best to listen to you and answer all of your questions. So thankful he was put in my life.

I just love Dr. Brewster. He did a wonderful job on my spinal fusion and I have had minimal pain. And for the added bonus, he really listens to you and your concerns. Hopefully I don’t have any more problems, but if I do I will be going back to see Dr. Brewster

Dr. Brewster is amazing. Before meeting with him I could only walk using a walker and I am only in my 40's. I met with him, he reviewed and explained my MRI. Due to the seriousness of the situation, he scheduled surgery 2 days later. Surgery went smooth and both Dr. Brewster and his office were available post-surgery to answer questions. It has been just over a month since I had surgery. I am walking now and recently was able to quit using my cane. I am so grateful I was referred to Dr. Brewster!

I cannot praise Dr. Brewster's surgical and people skills enough. As my spinal condition warranted extensive surgery to correct, I did considerable research locating the best surgeon. All five MD's with which I consulted highly recommended Dr Brewster for my case; and I can now say I emphatically agree. Not only are his surgical skills and stamina beyond compare, but he is extremely approachable. He did not simply explain the surgical procedure with me but engaged in an "extensive conversation" on at least two pre operative visits covering all of the possibilities and anticipated outcomes of each scenario. His preoperative preparation was extensive and thorough. After surgery, he gave me his personal cell phone number and urged me to contact him with any questions or concerns; which I most definitely took advantage of (it was a lengthy and involved surgery). Choosing the right surgeon can be a live altering decision and I am most certainly prepared to recommend him for complicated spinal reconstruction surgery.

I had a great experience with Dr James Brewster at Rock Creek Neurosurgery and Spine in Draper, Utah. He is an expert in spine surgery, I especially appreciate being minimally invasive. He explained my condition and treatment options very well, and answered all my questions patiently. He performed spinal fusions on me and I am very happy with the outcome. He is also very friendly and caring, and his staff is professional and helpful. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs spine surgery.

I was referred to Dr Brewster to be evaluated for spinal surgery. He was very patient listening to all my concern’s. He ordered the X-rays, CT, MRI to see what was going on as I had lower back pain and sciatica for years. It had gotten to the point I was in a lot of pain with my feet becoming numb. He discussed all the options to me along with answering a battery of questions I had. He completely explained the procedure he thought would give me the best results. This was L4,L5 Fusion and Laminectomy on L3. I was very apprehensive and scared of such a big surgery as I had never had surgery before. I got nervous a couple days prior to surgery and he accepted a call from me to reassure my anxiety about the surgery. He assured me I would get the best results and things would be fine. The surgery went well. Dr. Brewster visited me the following day to let me know everything went exactly as planned. He telephoned me once I was home to check on me. He is a very kind, caring and patient.

I've suffered from chronic back issues from the age of 14. many years of that suffering was due to dealing with doctors unwilling to start the process with w/x-rays, MRI, etc.) Some of that time was my attempt to remedy my spine issues without surgery, which I did with just about every holistic treatment with many holistic practitioners but none helped. Most were a straight waist of money. I was very concerned that I might get the same treatment I did prior when I was searching for help pertaining to my chronic spine/pain issues However after a couple of meetings with Doctor Brewster I began to feel a sense of hope Doctor Brewster treated me with respect he listened to my concerns he was real with me & has a great bedside manner.My back had seriouse damage & would take an experienced surgion to make the reqired repairs which I had many. I saw several doctors for my herniated discs in my back. All of them wanted to cut on me right away. I didn’t like that. Dr. Brewster was different. He walked me through my MRI and explained everything to me. He supported my decision to try some alternative options to heal myself to avoid surgery. There was no pressing to take me to surgery. I had follow appointments where we addressed progress and kept a close eye on things. Ended up needing surgery in the end but that process was handled flawlessly and he was able to take care of me when things got difficult with pain. Very happy I went Dr. Brewster and would highly recommend him.

Dr Brewster goes above and beyond. He spent plenty of time discussing my options with me. When my insurance tried to force me to have a fusion instead of replacement, he called me personally and asked if I wanted him to fight it. He was able to get it approved. He sent me to a private company for images saving me hundreds of dollars. It was definitely an A+ experience

Dr Brewster performed a SI Joint fusion on my left side. I’ve been in pain for 40 years and he was able to diagnose my problem and fix it in a rapid manner. Dr Brewster is. a caring, he listens to you and completely answers all of your questions. I will be going back to him after the first of the year to have him fix the other side. I had n ACDF procedure done by Dr. Brewster and the results of the surgery were great. I unfortunately developed a problem with a vocal cord. Despite this set back Dr. Brewster showed extreme compassion and concern and led me to an ENT I am currently working with. I can tell each time I visit Dr. Brewster goes over and beyond conversing with my ENT and staying up to date with my care. I can not say enough about him and his entire staff. They all are genuine and kind. Thank you so much for each of you and a special not of gratitude to Dr. Brewster.

Dr.Brewster, hands down amazing. I had been suffering from intense neck pain since 2019, it was so bad I was beginning to think I had lost my mind because all other preventative options were not working to stop my pain and increase my mobility. I met with Dr. Brewster, he looked over all tests, X-rays, LISTENED and said let’s get you better. I had 2 spinal fusions and I was immediately better. He personally called me to follow up and check in on me. There isn’t a lot of people I would trust with such a big surgery, my spinal cord, neck, but I never questioned Dr.Brewster… not once!

He explained my MRI and answered my questions. The day of the surgery, his enthusiasm actually made me excited to begin. They wheeled me into the OR at 10:00am. I remember thinking, "The anesthesiologist has pretty eyes....". I woke up around 1:30 (so they say). There's video on TikTok of me walking with a walker 2hrs after the procedure. Three weeks later he tested me and asked specific questions regarding my home care and recovery. I told him, "I can walk unassisted on grass, sand and gravel. I sleep well through the night. I don't take pain reliever, but i do take the muscle relaxer and the blood thinner. I walked around the whole block 3 days ago. Such a feat would have been impossible four weeks ago. Because of Dr Brewster and his staff, I have hope. Hope to carry my future grandchildren, to travel with my wife, to have new adventures. Thank you Dr James Brewster, DO you even corrected some of my scoliosis! (which has me standing up straight and 2" taller)

I really appreciated Dr Brewsters knowledge and insight. He looked at my images and suggested options instead of going right to surgery. I was dealing with dizziness, headaches, strobing vision, and exhaustion. My symptoms could have been fixed by steroid shots. In my case the shot helped for 3 months before I got worse. Finally decided to get the surgery and it has been amazing. He is a great guy and terrific surgeon. Thank you Dr. Brewster!

I had been dealing with debilitating lower back pain for about 7-8 years. It had gotten so bad that I was limping and had developed severe cramps in my foot and leg. I had been avoiding seeing a surgeon because I was concerned that back surgery would only make things worse. I finally broke down and made an appointment with Dr. Brewster. From the initial appointment, I was immediately put at ease. He explained everything in a very easy to understand way, gave his recommendation, and made sure I understood my options. I decided to schedule the surgery, and I'm so glad I did! When I woke up in the recovery room, my pain was gone! I thought I must still be feeling the effects of the anesthesia, but I quickly realized that wasn't the case. I literally limped into the hospital the morning of the surgery and was able to walk out that evening. I have a new lease on life, and my only regret is not seeing Dr. Brewster sooner!

Dr. James Brewster is a really incredible person and Surgeon. He operated on my spine and he is so caring and an incredible person. He is never too busy to communicate and answer your questions. I would not hesitate to contact Dr. Brewster if I ever need him again for anything.

Dr. Brewster did a very good job on my back surgery. he followed up with me through visits in the hospital as well as by phone. I would highly recommend him for your surgery.

Dr. Brewster is an amazing surgeon. Anyone who deals with complex spine issues or undiagnosed spine issues should see Dr. Brewster. He is compassionate, caring, and calming. But most importantly he listens carefully and then adapts the treatment to your concerns. I had been dealing with a SI joint issue and Dr. Brewster was willing to fix this painful problem. Dr. Brewster is a true life changing surgeon! Thank you Dr. Brewster for the awesome care I received. You really gave me my life back and I can’t thank you enough!
