Great doctor. Explained surgery in detail. Easy post op with pain under control. Pain that I had pre-op almost totally gone. Recommend Dr. Stevens highly!

Dr. Stevens is an exceptional physician
When my legs collapsed, I was in excruciating pain and feared paralysis. It was terrifying. After weeks and several Drs and ER visits, they still could not find the source of the horrific pain. After finding it was coming from a fracture in my spine, and a failed back injection, I was sent to Dr Dave Stevens. As soon as he heard the urgency of my situation, he saw me right away and had me in surgery immediately. It was a blessing and a miracle. It has been 6 months now, I am doing great and forever thankful to the Lord I can walk. So deeply grateful for Dr. Stevens for his quick response, expertise, and kindness. He and his incredible Team were exceptional. They provided the best surgery and hospital stay I have ever experienced, there are not enough words.

Dr. Sevens has always taken the time and care that I have required. Have been a patient on & off for 13 years. He has preformed 3 surgeries on me during this time and I have always been pleased with him. I have severe anxiety and he has always listened and tried to accommodate me with these issues. He is to the point but is very caring.

STEVENS DAMAGED MY NERVES DURING SURGERY
Stevens told me back surgery would resolve all the pain in my buttocks and leg. I woke up from surgery with drop foot, something I'd never experienced before. Now after a year of him telling me to just wait, things will get better with time, I've learned from another doctor that Stevens damaged my nerves and Stevens surgery caused Failed Back Surgery Syndrome. Not only did he not correct my pain issue, he has caused an immense amount of new and worsening pain in my back, hips, buttocks, both legs now, and into my feet. He's tried gaslighting me on numerous occasions and actually argued with me on how good he is. He's condescending and not concerned about the damage he's permanently caused to my body. His PA was also rude beyond belief. Stevens is not qualified to be performing surgeries and what's worse, patients must sign away their rights to sue him. Well we'll see about that! I'm not accepting the damage he's put upon me, absolutely not!

Dr Stevens performed surgery on my SI joint. He was very good at communication and most importantly was his surgery went better than I had hoped for. His staff took some getting used to but seem to get their jobs done. I felt better walking out from the outpatient procedure than I had in 20 years. I don’t really think about it now. Top notch. Day of surgery went extremely well. Highly recommended from this satisfied patient.

Dr Stevens operated on my dad. The first time was for a drop foot. He claimed it was fixed but the foot not only was not fixed, he now had excruciating pain in his lower back. Dr Stevens told my dad he needed another surgery to repair his back. He had another surgeon do a front (abdominal) approach as he said this was the preferred route to reach what he needed to do. My dad came out of that surgery and was never able to walk again. Upon waking up from surgery his pain got worse and worse everyday. Dr Stevens never returned calls and did not come in to see my dad at the rehab. He was unable to do any of the rehab because he could not walk. He was in excruciating pain. Dr Stevens told him he needed to get up and walk but my dad could not move without screaming out in pain. After much family pressure to get an X-ray we found out that his sacrum was fractured. One of the screws he had put in my dads sacrum was also not inside the sacrum but resting just outside the sacrum. Dr Stevens sai

Dr Stevens was rude and condescending. At my appointment, it was clear that he believed his time was more important than my time. After a scheduling error and traveling a long distance (over an hour drive one way), he acted "put out" that he had to meet with me for five minutes at the end of the day, and preferred I traveled the same distance to see him the next day. I was disappointed to not be treated with more compassion and respect after his staff made the mistake. Would not recommend.

Met with Dr. Stevens for severe lower disc pain and sciatica. I didn't know what to expect and had been to physical therapy but nothing helping. He reviewed MRI and suggested conservative course of treatment. He prescribed some medication and he and his staff helped me to get right in to a colleague for a cortisone epidural. He was patient and kind and answered my questions which included what to do if the treatment today doesn't work. I would recommend.

Dr. Stevens is direct and to the point. I don't have a problem with that. If you are looking for someone to hold your hand and cry with you, he is probably not your Dr. For me, he was the best. Took time to answer my questions, and even discuss politics and Obama care. My surgery went perfect, and that is all that matters. By the way, there are 3 Drs that said they would use him if they were to have surgery. Good enough for me.

And I explained what and where is experiencing pain, I asked if it could be bursitis. With disdain in his voice, he said, "there's no such thing as bursitis!" Sorry, Dr. Stevens, there IS such a thing as bursitis. He's a poor listener didn't seem to care whether he helped me or not. I would never go back to him nor would I recommend him to anyone.
