Biography: Dr. Eduardo C. Beauchamp is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery with Columbia University's Department of Orthopedic Surgery and is a board-certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Beauchamp completed medical school and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Puerto Rico. He then completed an initial fellowship in Orthopedic Spine Surgery at Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, MN, followed by a second fellowship in Advanced Pediatric Spine Deformity at Columbia University/New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Lawrence Lenke, MD is one of the world's foremost leaders in spinal deformity surgery. His world-renowned practice is devoted exclusively to spinal deformity surgery with an emphasis on complex reconstructive surgery in both children and adults for the treatment of various spinal deformities such as scoliosis, kyphosis, flatback syndrome, and other major spinal imbalances, as well as spondylolisthesis. Biography: Mark Weidenbaum, MD, specializes in treating a broad range of spinal disorders in both adults and children, including spinal deformity, arthritis, trauma, tumors, instability, and degenerative conditions. His surgical procedures range from minimally invasive and microsurgical approaches to complex spinal reconstructions. Dr. Weidenbaum is active in basic science as well as in clinical research and has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Kuflik came to Beth Israel from the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute. Since 1987, he has served there as an assistant attending physician, and was named chief of the scoliosis service in 1991.
