My time is precious too.
The waiting room is packed. This is the Montclair office. I had to wait over an hour for a 10am appointment- which is what time the office opens. Then another 20-25 minutes in the patient room. I feel like they double or even triple book appointments and there should be more respect for a patient's time. It seems to be very disorganized. I went here for a second opinion based on a friend's recommendation but I would not go back. Other orthopedists are right on time. The parking lot is inadequate, and I had to park a block away- not too good for patients with mobility issues. The office in not accessible- there are 4-5 steps and wheelchairs have to be carried up. There should be better management of appointment booking. X rays should be done before the doctor sees you, not after.

I have been a patient of Dr. Albano for the past several years and during that period of time he has displayed the utmost competence and professionalism. He continues to enhance his knowledge of orthopedics by attending classes in order to be enlightened as to the latest developments in diagnosing and treating ailments. I prolonged spinal surgery for quite a period of time, but for his skill and expertise the surgery he performed was a life changing experience and alleviated the excruciating pain immediately. The staff demonstrated professionalism and vigor in appealing and ultimately reversing my insurance carrier denial of my operation. The staff, through their persistence expedited my approval. The work ethic of him and his entire team is what distinguishes him from others in his profession. I would recommend others to seek his services and judge for themselves.

Great Experience
Dr. Albano and his entire team are fantastic. Finding any surgeon who takes the time to sit down with you and explain everything in detail ( in a way you can understand ) and offer all of the options is rare. Unfortunately this was not the first time I have had to have surgery (unrelated). But the experience I had with Dr. Albano and his team / staff was unbeatable. His office was able to schedule me in quickly and having two locations to choose from was great. Initially came in through the Montclair office and have had my follow ups here with no issues. Good sized parking lot and plenty of street parking if needed.Unfortunately had to have a spinal procedure to fix an old injury that recently became worse. Surgery was done at RWJ Barnabas and Dr Albano must have a great relationship with the hospital as my time and care there was above top notch. His team of residents were always available and Dr. A followed up bed side several times. Would absolutely recommend

Montclair Location Not Recommended
I feel terrible leaving this review because it is NOT a reflection of Dr. Albano. My son never got to meet Dr. Albano for his scheduled appointment, despite being in waiting room for 2 hrs. The front office staff however, specifically at the Montclair location, now that's another topic. This collective team requires additional training on how to engage with patients professionally. There was a prioritization over billing and the doctor's office being paid for services rendered before treatment and care of my son was even administered. Classic case of money over patients. My son was a 1st time patient, referred to this office directly from the Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center ER, for a follow-up visit. No one bothered to ask him about the reason for his visit. There was a complete disregard for his scheduled appointment time. His appointment was for 3:30pm and at 5:30pm he was still in the waiting room. Eventually we decided to leave due to the complete lack of care and attention.
