Pt. since2020 w BRCA, breast CA & mom w pancreatic
Dr. Kushnir first screened me for pancreatic CA and found IPMN, precursor of pancreatic CA. Then moved to yearly screening. December 2021 when I had abdominal pain radiating to back, he got me into his office and had an ultrasound done that was negative. He followed up a few weeks later with a CT and discovered a new urothelial cancer. He quickly got me referred to urology and after surgery and immunotherapy for a year, I am here today to write this. He may not have lengthy discussions, but as an RN, I can vouch for his competency, his thoroughness and his caring.

Dr Kushnir has little to no bedside manner. His fellow, whose never seen me before, informed me that my complaint related to swallowing was all in my head. Had he bothered to read my chart or ask me about what was going on maybe he would have realized that I have a rare congenital deformity in my stomach that could be affecting my swallowing. I wouldn't recommend either Dr. Kushnir or his fellow to anyone. Piss poor care and arrogance is all I experienced with this office. They don't listen to anything you say and spent less than 5 minutes in the room. Dr. Kushnir actually beat me out of office to the parking lot he was in such a hurry to leave for the day. I literally don't have a single positive thing to say about my appt. You would be better off Googling your symptoms and diagnosising yourself...

I saw Dr. Kushnir five or six times for a procedure that resulted in complete failure in Urbana-Champaign where I live. I can say with full confidence that he is the best doctor I've dealt with for my rather numerous medical problems. He is incredibly skillful in the procedure itself and has excellent bed manners, friendly and compassionate. I'd like to add that the whole Barnes-Jewish Hospital is a perfect place for any treatment.

He did surgery on my sister almost 2 months ago added stents and didn't remove her gallbladder. We've been trying to get a hold of them leaving messages even her primary Dr has left messages no luck. To get them all removed and it's getting worse. Horrible would not recommend!

He performed an ERCP on referral from Bloomington, IL after an attempt there was unsuccessful. Due to an unusual location of the bile duct this complicated the procedure but it was successfully navigated by Dr Kushnir and the personnel at Barnes Hospital were helpful and friendly. I will have to return for stent removal but a job well done.
