Super Doc with a Humble Spirit
Dr. Campbell was chosen by my orthopedic surgeon, Dr Kruse, and I quickly saw why. I missed the instructions not to drink water, and although instructions said 'nothing solid 8 hours prior', the head nurse insisted it said nothing after midnight. Surgery was scheduled for 2:15 and they were in a tither that I had a smoothie at 6, not to mention walking in with water! Complicating the scenario, due to heart plaque, I'd had a stress test but no one thought clearance from the cardiologist was necessary. So amid the chaos I created, Dr Campbell graciously shifts focus asking for cardiologist clearance. Once he got that he proceeded to administer a lidocaine block with precision, skill, and care, executing a sonogram reader and a needle with each hand...not to mention that he showed courtesy to his nurse anesthetist as he asked her each time fill his syringe. Then, in recovery i woke up with NO hangover and he was there to see me wheeled out. He's a special talent...gifted and CALM!!
