Life saver
Dr. Clemo has been my EP for over 20 years. He’s bright, caring, and he went the extra mile to research and understand my conditions when the cardiologists dismissed me. He came into our lives to save mine after another cardiology group dismissed me as a 22 year old with, “stress from having three small children.” The evening after they dismissed me I went into VT and almost passed away on my three small babies. Dr. Clemo saved me and put in my first ICD that night- 20 years later, I’m on my 4th ICD and have stayed with Dr Clemo ever since- despite having moved out of state and 5 hours away. I trust him to take lead in my care - I have a very complicated history and diagnoses and I refer to him first on any and all decisions and care. His patients are truly blessed to have his wisdom and heart.

My wife had a major heart related episode on Thanksgiving night and I called emergency services who transported her to Mary Washington hospital. At the hospital, she spent 6 days undergoing tests and scans without resolution. Several times during her visit it appeared that she should have a pacemaker. Because she did not have a similar episode during her visit, the electrocardio surgeon did not recommend a pacemaker. On return she saw Dr. Clemo who seemed to have no understanding of the situation. We decided to call her former Cardiologist (in Arlington, VA) to explain what had happened to her. He set up a video meeting on early morning of Dec 17. After discussion, he said she needed a pacemaker and would make arrangements. She was contacted late on the 18th by a nurse at Virginia Hospital Center, and she was told that she had been scheduled to come into the VHC at 11AM yesterday (Dec 18) for a Pacemaker, which she received.

I had the chance to go on a trip to France but I was VERY concerned with my heart condition if I was able to make the trip. Well, Dr. CLemo went the extra mile...issued more tests and lots of advice and I was able to confidently make the trip and had a wonderful time. All because of this doctor because he showed me he really cared about his patients and went the extra mile to make sure I was healthy enough to make the trip. He is a very kind hearted and patient physician. A true Blessing!
