Not worth the hassle
The absolute worst practice ever. I have been going to this location for about 4 years now. Almost every appointment that I have made with them has resulted in the wait time being over an hour long. The last time I was there I had an appointment @3pm for a stress test, I was not seen until 4:45pm. I understand things happen, however, when it is every single time, it makes no sense to even make an appointment. They even have a policy that if you are a certain amount of time late they cancel your appointment & charge you a fee, yet they keep patients waiting for over an hour. I was prescribed medication as I had an issue with my heart. Getting my medication refilled was such a hassle. I called 2 weeks ahead before my medication ran out & then spent the following 3 weeks calling almost everyday trying to figure out why they had not sent my prescription. I ended up running out of medication & having chest pains/ palpitations. Turns out, they had somehow misplaced medical records.

Beware
I was at this office on 02/03/23 for a stress test. During the checkout process, I was asked to pay $260.00 for the copay. My copay was $55.00 so I asked what the amount was for. They looked at the charges & asked for $210.00 instead. I paid and contacted my insurance company (Aetna) a few days later. Aetna representative & I contacted Premier Cardiac & Vascular and was told by 3 staff/manager that they had made a mistake by overcharging & will mail out a check for me immediately. A week went by, I called the office & was told by the same person (Jeremy) that they are still reviewing it. I mentioned fraud & Premier Cardiac &Vascular needs to reimburse me for the overcharge immediately. He promised the office will have a check ready & will call me for pick up within 48 hours. I called again after 2 days & was told the same thing. It seems like this is a general statement and no actions taken. Unfortunate situation and I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

This place don’t care about you!
My mom was referred to PREMIER CARDIAC AND VASCULAR Springfield (5411D Backlick Road, Suite 100 Springfield, VA 22151-4014 ) with Anita Banerjee MD FACC. She had 4 appointments and we had the worst experience in our lives with this providers. They scheduled so many people at the same time that you have to wait hours and hours in this facility. I understand some exams can take longer time, but not ALL the visits are like that. Every time we came the wait was at least for 2 hours when the appointment is really less than 20 minutes. They don’t care about the patience at all. Before coming here, I asked the receptionist if I could wait for my with my kids in the office and they don’t allowed it. So I had to wait outside for her( that’s understandable because of COVID-19). What it’s not understandable is that you have to wait 5 hours outside on the sun without an advise.

Had the shortest echo ever done with this doctor. I've had them done in the past and never had one done in that little of time. This doctor never requested records from previous cardiologist who I was seeing for several years but had to find a new cardiologist because my insurance changed. I felt I wasn't taken seriously or given the proper attention because I was a younger patient. The front office staff was nice.

As a referring internist in Fredericksburg I can say that she is a great cardiologist who took excellent care of my patients. She was easily approachable and would call and discuss any issues with my patients and plan of care. She will be missed in Fredericksburg! Dr. Vangani

My case was difficult. Dr. Banerjee worked to find a surgeon who could help me. She is always encouraging, efficient and knowledgeable. I am so sorry she is leaving the Fredericksburg office. Northern Virginia you are lucky to have her! If you want a doctor who listens, cares and helps you, she is the answer.

If only were 10 stars available! Dr. Banerjee was an amazing cardiologist to my mother. Despite the nature of our visits Dr. B would inquire to my mother - “Tell me what is going on with you? How do you feel?” She would ask me – “Is there anything new with her?” Dr. B always had the right answer and a plan to adjust to whatever was going on with mom. We were a team. Dr. B, my mom and me. She many-a-time guided me through the process of checking on my mother’s health while at home, outside of normal office hours. During the toughest of times, Dr. B made me feel calm and collected while navigating the emotionally and medically intimidating world of caring for my mother. After a fall and broken hip, I continued to call Dr. B for her advice. She was as concerned as I was and helped me navigate my mother’s needs. When my mom passed away a week after her 100th birthday, she was one of the first people I called. For my own care, I'd drive anywhere to see her. (She made the jelly jar Dr B!)

I have been a patient of Dr. Anita Banerjee for more than 6 years. She has guided me through a heart attack, coronary artery disease and numerous bouts of heart failure. She has always taken the time to explain my present condition, what course of action we would follow and what the intended result should be. She would then oversee my treatment from beginning to end. She is a very skilled doctor and, for me, the best cardiologist that I could have.

I have been a patient of Dr. Banerjee for over two years after being diagnosed with AFIB. She and her staff have always provided me with outstanding care. She was always caring and thorough with my care. Eventually she suggested an ablation procedure which has proven successful in eliminating my AFIB. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Banerjee and will be forever grateful for the courtesy and care extended to me and my family.

She referred me to another cardiologist for an invasive procedure. Made it sound urgent. After having the procedure I learned that she had referred me to her husband! Neither of them disclosed this relationship. I found out totally by accident from another person. I would have sought a second opinion had I known. I consider this a clear conflict of interest and still wonder if either of them had my best intest in mind. I can not return to this practice for this reason.
