Outstanding!!
I was here for my semi annual eye check up and as always I would be remiss, if I didn’t mention not only the professionalism, but the caring attitude of both Dr. Kelly and his staff. You can’t find better place for your eye care.

Very rushed, didn't explain anything
He said I have a condition, which he did not explain well, leaving me in the dark. He suggested that it may require surgery, which I later learned would be overkill and unnecessary.

If you want the best in eye care, then Dr. Kelly is the physician you should be seeing. I was refered to him by my PCP and have been seeing him for my special eye care needs for years now. I am so grateful for someone who takes the time to share with you, exactly what is happening with your eye health and communicates it directly to your PCP to ensure it ties in directly with your general healthcare. During this time of pandemic, the office is taking particular care in staff and patient safety with extra cleaning and social distancing. Thank you always Dr. Kelly and staff! So glad as well that I can also get my glass prescription taken care of right there as well. Ms. Alli is absolutely professional and knowledgeable on eyecare for whatever your lifestyle needs are, and one leaves there knowing your eyewear is the best for your eye needs. Bless them all!!

Dr. Kelly did two DMEK procedures on me and restored my eyesight. I had Fuchs Dystrophy and was steadily going blind. Dr Kelly has changed my life! I am forever grateful. Office staff are very nice and helpful. I could not be happier.

My wife went to Dr. Kelly at the Howerton Eye Clinic in Austin. She has suffered from severe dry eyes for many years and seen eye specialists. After finishing her last pregnancy she went to Dr. Kelly to see if there are any new treatments to help her (which she has told she couldn't do while pregnant or breastfeeding). He did a quick examination without any of the typical tests that my wife as become accustom to doing in the past. He pretty much dismissed her concerns about her dry eye syndrome and just prescribed some routine over the counter eye drops. Total waste of time and our money. She had to go to another eye doctor who actually gave her good care and put her on a treatment plan. When I complained to the clinic, they pretty much said in a nice way, "tough luck". Be wary of this clinic and this doctor. I guess others have had a good experience but unfortunately not us.

I had (4) appointments with Dr. Scott Kelly. He was very professional and has a great bedside manner. No matter what your age is, his diagnosis and treatment plan is explained in words that you can understand. I found him to be honest. He is not pushy regarding any procedures. He will give you time to think, and let you do your own research before making any decision.

I am very uncomfortable getting eye exams and the eye technician was very kind and patient with me. Dr.Kelly was very interested in my medical history and how my medical conditions can impact my vision. He drew pictures to help explain my issues, answered my questions and he scheduled a follow-up in two weeks to make sure everything was as it should be; he also offered to send a written report to my primary doctor so everyone involved in my care was kept up to date.
