Dr. Ronald Yamamoto, MD

Dr Yamamoto reconstructed my right ACL in 1998 after I had 4 previous surgeries on the same right knee.(one scope, ACL reconstruction, another scope to find what went wrong with the reconstruction, and a notch plasty to correct errors from the reconstruction). Dr Yam wanted to use a laser for my ACL recon but Aetna in the surgery room denied that option and he had to use an older method. I was 32 years old and my right knee is stiff solid and strong today than my left where I had only one scope for cartilage damage. His rehab instructions I have used my whole life and I am now 59 years old. He was simply amazing, kind attentive, wise, and the greatest of skill more than any other orthopedic doctor I ever saw and I saw many.

Dr. Yamamoto retired five years ago, but I wanted to comment on his level of care. It is excellent. He loved his job, and was very good at it. He performed two major surgeries and two minor ones on my knees. He would tell the likelihood of a surgical procedure being helpful to you. And he respected your decision if you chose something different that he was suggesting.
