Dr. Philip Rafiy, MD

I first visited Dr. Rafiy by referral this past December. I was experiencing back and neck pain. Turns out I had spinal stenosis. He immediately recommended surgery, and I had the surgery in January. Since the surgery, I have been pain free. I am so glad that I had the surgery, and it was a huge decision. I am recovering very well. Thank You Dr. Rafiy!

I have lots to be thankful for in my life and doctor RAFIY is one of them. I was just 23 years old when he did my first surgery I thought my life was over I had seen 3 different doctors and my lower back pain was just getting worse and worse on till I landed on doctor RAFIY hands he did such a great job that 10 years later I went back to get my shoulder fixed like new. thank you for giving me a second chance at life.

I had Suffered with major back pain for years, herniated and degenerative discs which I had 2 prior surgeries already by another doctor. It had got to the point where no anti-inflammatory, physical therapy, Injections, or pain pills helped. I saw Dr Rafiy and he suggested surgery. I had a laminectomy and discectomy and a complete overhaul of my lumbar spine At Mercy Hospital with Dr Rafiy. This was life changing for me. The surgery has made my life so much better. Dr Rafiy and his staff in Hicksville are Great! Everyone is friendly and helpful. The bottom line is that my decision to use Dr Rafiy was the best thing I have ever done when choosing a doctor. For anyone who is suffering like I did go see him, you will not regret it.

I was extremely impressed the very first day I met with Dr. Rafiy. I left his office knowing he is the doctor I wanted to do my surgery. Dr. Rafiy bedside manners is impeccable. The staff are also very professional, they address you by your name before you even sign in for registration. Excellent staffing. I definitely recommend Dr. Rafiy if and when need an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Rafiy is the best of the best.

dr rafiy performed a miracle lumbar spine reconstructive surgery. i no longer feel the pain going down my legs and my leg power is much stronger. best choice i made with selecting dr rafiy for my back surgery. I am walking better with no more sharp pains in my back or leg,. He is a miracle worker. Dr. Rafiy has done two neck surgeries on me two back surgeries on me and I have no problem he fixed it. He’s a very dedicated doctor and he knows what he’s doing. He is humble and his bedside manner is excellent I don’t care what time it is he will show up and he does take interest in you. He listens to what you say not like other doctors I don’t know what. I’ve been with him for 20 years. He’s also done arthroscopy on my knee There’s so much to say about him that I can’t write but he is the best. I recommend all my friends family to use him especially for the back I know people who had like 13 surgeries on their back for what. He made sure of my last surgery, and he fused it. he said to me, you will never need any more surgery. Don’t let nobody cut on you and he’s true to his word I can’t say enough about him.

Had laminectomy and a fusion done by Dr. Rafiy. Very calm and professional surgeon. Great bedside manner. He listens and made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. Rafiy to anyone who requires back surgery. I had very little anxiety and felt very confident with my choices. Great staff also! Keep up the good work!

Jan 24 I had spinal neck surgeryFrom doctor Rafiy Prior to surgery . Was very hesitant about this . But his staff was excellentIn bringing me along .I'm 10 week from the surgery we're .He fused my 567My movement is so far better I would recommend Dr Rafiy.To others upon any surgery.

I recently had a Lumbar Radiculopathy procedure in September 2023 with Dr. Philip Rafiy and I am so happy with the results! the entire experience was great. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had no problems with appointments, scheduling or insurance. Dr. Rafiy was professional and explained everything in layman's terms so I could understand the procedure and what to expect. after the surgery, Dr. Rafiy personally visited me on Saturday to assure me everything went as planned. my recovery was better than expected and I am very glad I followed through with having the surgery. my scar is very small and my pain level is dramatically reduced. I can't say I am pain free but it is nothing compared to what I was living with prior to the surgery. Thank you Dr. Rafiy and your staff. Father had a 6 vertebrae fusion after a car accident. Emergency surgery needed, and after devising a plan Dr. Rafiy did his magic! Follow up went extremely well, with all expectations being met.

Dr. Rafiy operated on my neck last year, and in September he operated on my back. I would highly recommend him. His office is warm snd friendly and very accommodating. I also did both my PT. At his office and also highly recommend. My case was a workers comp. Case which is very difficult to get authorization. This took a long time but Dr. Rafiy did not give up. I found him to be very kind and reassuring explained both surgeries.

He was competent and professional. All my questions were answered in a non-scientific way for a lay-person to comprehend.

I met Dr. Rafiy around 18 months ago. He looked at my MRI and noticed I needed a laminectomy and a fusion. He went over the surgery and told myself and my family what the procedure would entail. His bedside manner was outstanding. I had surgery early September, and the next day Dr. Rafiy came in to see how I was doing in my recovery. Dr. Rafiy went above and beyond my expectations. Less than a month later I was doing physical therapy and recovering great. Dr. Rafiy is the best.

Dr Rafiy performed back surgery on me 2 weeks ago on 3/17. On 3/18 Dr Rafiy personally came to the hospital to explain what was done and what to expect. His professionalism and bedside manner were outstanding! He’s simply the best!
