TKR left knee
Very happy to have found Doctor Boettner! He is a great surgeon and a great guy. He replaced my right knee in 2021 and this February replaced the left side. I’ve had great recoveries from both surgeries without any complications. Would recommend Doctor Boettner to anyone. Thanks Doctor for taking good care of me you are the best!

My Knee Knee
Dr Boettner is the best!! Meticulous in his care, managed my expectations, helped me thru the entire process and replaced my arthritic knee beyond my expectations. Highly recommend him. Be sure to follow his instructions and you should get similar results.

Dr. Boettner oies not beat around the bush...which I love! I was up and walking that day after my surgery!!! It's only been 5 weeks , but I think my life will begin again!!! Thank you is just not enough!!!

Walking Again!!
When I went to Dr. Böettner, I could barely walk. I was in great pain and there was no medication that could relieve the constant pain or the constant swelling. I had been going to Orlin and Cohen (Huge Mistake) for two years with no relief. Just constant corticosteroid shots. Dr. Böettner knew it needed to be replaced right away. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and forthright. My quality of life before the total knee replacement was very low. After the (robotically performed) operation at HSS (which was beautiful, clean, and amazing), I had little to no pain and I could walk again!! One year later, and my leg is so straight and strong that I barely realize I had a knee replacement. My quality of life has returned thanks to Dr. Boettner and his team!! I am forever grateful and he truly is one of the best surgeons on the planet!!

Total Knee Replacement
Dr Boettner was attentive throughout my Surgery and aftercare. I had my left knee replacement completed in August and already up and moving around. Listen to the Dr as he knows what to do after the surgery to help get the best results

Opted out of medicare
I have now had 2 hips replaced by Dr Boettner & he is excellent but was just told by his office that he is no longer accepting Medicare! I feel that is elitist & wrong because the majority of patients who need joint replacements are on fixed incomes! When I expressed this to his office staff I was told that the follow up visits would still be at a reduced rate of $200 to which I answered that is too much when your insurance co-pay was $15 & it just shows how much he is out of touch with normal people to think that is acceptable!!

Hip replacement
He is extremely talented. He sent messages a d videos on what I need to do daily. I had minimal discomfort for two days and my hip felt great. I would recommend Dr Bottner to anyone needing total hip replacement. He really cares about his patients.

Anterior Total Hip Replacement
Dr. Boettner was highly recommended. He told me exactly what was wrong with my hip and what he would do to fix it. My hip was bone on bone. He performed surgery on my left hip on February 2nd, 2024. I walked to the bathroom 2 hours after surgery with no pain. No physical therapy for this type of surgery. (He told me, do what I tell you, don't help me. This is a lazy man's surgery.) LOL. I iced my hip, took my meds, pain meds only up to 2nd day after surgery, did my stretches, and walked. One week after surgery I walked 100 yards. 8 weeks after surgery I walked a mile and a half. He's a genius and I don't think I thanked him properly in person. BTW, my incision is less than 3 inches long. I guess that's why the surgery is called minimally invasive. Amazing. Additionally the entire HSS staff was incredible. I see why they are number 1 in the world.

Great doctor and great hospital
Dr. Boettner did a full replacement of my left knee 3 and a half years ago and it’s doing great. I knew it was finally time to have the right one done. so I somewhat remembered what to expect. I love HSS. Why go anywhere else for an orthopedic procedure? There are excellent doctors outside of HSS, But these are the best of the best. I love that every nurse, aide, anesthesiologist and staff member works strictly with orthopedics. I Was walking without a cane after two weeks. At 5 weeks out I continue to do all the required exercises and continue to progress. No outside PT was required. But if you don’t think you will do them on your own, I suppose outside PT isn a must.

Great knee replacement surgery!!
My surgery and care before during and after were great!!! Received solid directions to follow and everything went well including at home PT, at home CPM machine, medications and the follow up visit. Scar is barely noticeable, range of motion is great and pain in virtually gone from before!! Thank you!

Dr Boettner did an anterior total hip replacement 2 months ago. before surgery i suffered with horrible pain and unable to walk. today at 77 years of age i feel like dancing. I have no pain and get around better than before. Dr Boettner prepared me for surgery 2 weeks before surgery and 4 weeks after everyday with texts that monitored my progress. He gave me my lifestyle back again

Everything was seamless!!! Support staff great!!! Ease of available appointments great!!! Response to care/concern/questions, Excellent. Professionalism of ALL medical staff SUPERIOR!!! Hospital staff, STELLAR!!!! Dr. Boettner came referred to me via 3 separate individuals. He's a busy guy who calls you at home post-op unsolicited to see how you are doing! I never felt rushed, and answered every and all questions.

Poor surgicalresults and even worse bedside manner
Two hour wait to see him for first two appointments, and then spending less than 15 minutes with me. Refused to have any discussion of physical therapy as post operative option, and told me to get another surgeon if I wanted to have PT - WHILE I was on the table prepped in gown for surgery. No plan for post surgical visit in recovery until I pushed for an update to find out how it went in the operating room. Now having post operative complications with no improvement to mobility. Now looking for another Dr to pursue followup -
