Dr. Michael Gazzaniga, MD

My initial consult with Dr. Gazzaniga regarding my chronic prostatitis seemed to be productive. We agreed on the fact that 90% of chronic prostatitis is non bacterial in origin and antibiotics would most likely not help my situation and may lead to unwanted side effects. He said he wanted to do one more urine culture just to be certain. When the urine culture came back negative as expected, I called the office to ask what were the next steps, as far as improving my symptoms. His staff member called back, simply saying 'Take the antibiotic if you're in pain.' Totally disregarding what we spoke about for 20 minutes during our meeting. Did not return.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gazzaniga's for several years. He is a very competent doctor in this field. He has treated me for kidney stones, UTI's and incontinence. His demeanor is always cheery and positive. His staff, at both locations, is always polite, professional and accommodating.

Dr. Gazzaniga is awesome and a very nice guy. He was very quick with my procedure with perfect execution. Great bed side manner and more importantly knows his specialty well. I can recommend him no question.

I needed CT scan and went to the imaging facility Dr. Gazzaniga's office directed me to. When I returned, Dr. Gazanniga told me he doesn't use that imaging facility much and didn't know how to use their software so he couldn't read the CT scan. He wanted to send me for a X-ray instead which means I would have paid $400 for nothing. I can't trust a doctor who can't even take the time to keep up to date with technology.

It is always uncomfortable when you are facing surgery for a potential cancer risk. He was patient answering my questions and gave me a very detailed explanation of the procedure. He had a quiet confidence in his demeanor that quelled my anxiety.

He has been a life saver for my husband. He has an easy, casual manner that puts you at ease, the moment you meet him. I would recommend him to a friend.

Great bedside manor and sense of Humor ! Suggested a new procedure for my BPH and explained all the side effects that could occur. I highly recommend him to all !

I come from a medical family & have never been treated so abruptly. My son is a T1 diabetic w/urology urination urgency. Diagnosed w/central sleep apnea -a lot for a 19 yr old to juggle & having some anxiety/depression. Dr. didn't do an exam- just said he needs to get his diabetes in order. I called 2 X last Friday w/no response. He dismissed us w/o even doing any tests & referred us back to our GP. What ever happened to bedside manner? Really needed guidance & genuine concern/attention.
