Dr. Michael Champine, MD

I went to Dr Champine and he had X-rays taken of my hip and said my hips were perfect. Come to find out after another Dr sent me for MRIs, I have two deep tears in my hip labrum, pelvic bone problems, with tendinitis in the bilateral gluteus medius and minimus, and all sorts of effusions and reactive synovitis. I could have avoided months of excruciating pain and worsening of conditions if he had done MRIs at the time.

I am 75 year old and have seen dozens of doctors in my lifetime. Champine is the rudest, most arrogant and condescending doctor I have ever dealt with. He has absolutely zero 'bedside manner'.

I had knee replacement surgery six weeks ago with Dr. Champine. Today’s visit confirmed for me that the surgery was a great success and I received additional information on continuing my path to full recovery. I have already gained so much more strength and stability walking that it feels like a new lease in life. At age 76, I am looking forward to resuming my hobbies and activities I thought I was too old to do because I was so unsteady walking. Dr. Champine and his PA Darren Hughes have given me excellent care.

Dr. Champine listens carefully and has a wry sense of humor which is very relaxing to a nervous patient!

Answered all our questions. Never seemed rushed. Wa a happy to proceed on my timeline and expectations.

The appointment went very smoothly ,X-rays were taken and treatment was discussed . New appointment was made for my treatment. Very well run office!

He was the most rude doctor I have seen. When he asked my mom, who was 82, about what she wanted him to do about her right Knee, he said any Dr could do it, why go to him? Then she asked about her shoulder which was very brushed and he wouldn’t even look at it. Very very poor. Never ever would recommend him!!! For someone who was supposed to be “the best” he was terrible!! I wouldn’t say that if it wasn’t true.

Excellent surgeon. Both knees replaced seventeen years ago. Feeling great!

Dr Champine and his staff are great. Explained issue with my knee completely and got my referral over to PT quickly.

Dr Champine does a thorough job of diagnosing and then treating your condition. His PA, Darren, is very helpful in giving preoperative and post operative information and instructions. They both have a sense of humor and it is a pleasure to deal with them!

I’ve seen an orthopedic in Dallas but couldn’t get past the PA to visit with the doctor. Dr. Champine’s clinic you actually see the doctor first. After several X-rays, and a lengthy discussion- he just asking,”do you want to continue this course of action with injections and anti-inflammatories or are you ready to fix the problem?” Easy answer, FIX THE PROBLEM. His staff from the front desk, to the medical assistant, X-ray tech and Dr Champine worked well together. Scheduling surgery was made easy as well by his surgery scheduler. Everyone seemed to be there for just me. I have confidence in Dr Champine and his team.

I am glad that Dr. Champin did surgery on my knee. I had my surgery on April 4, 2023. He is an excellent surgeon!

Very timely- both for office visits and day of surgery. Very organized- during the visit before surgery I met with a variety of staff. Minimal wait time between visits. Great bedside manner. And most importantly- great results. Thank you!

Great experience

I had my knee replacement on February 14 of this year. I am doing really good and think Dr. Champine and his staff are the reason. Dr Champine is a real skilled surgeon. His staff is unbelievable they really care about their patients. I am tickled to death that I went to him and trusted him with my knee. My husband had double knee replacement surgery in with him about seven years ago. He has done amazing and has not had one problem. So I guess you could say we are totally sold on Dr. Champine.
