Just WOW! If you’re lucky enough to get in with this guy, trust him with your LIFE! I didn’t have a choice! I fell down a flight of stairs and broke my neck. He was working that morning at Northside Gwinnett (FKA Gwinnett Medical Center). He evaluated me and did emergency spinal fusion surgery. This whole accident, or the surgery, or a combo could have left me paralyzed or even dead. Instead, due to the excellent care of Dr. Hazzard and his staff my life was saved! Almost three weeks later and the pain is already easing and I can walk around, get out of bed, and do a lot of stuff with no assistance. There are a lot of guys and gals out there to make money by being a doctor, seeing as many patients as they can, rushing through diagnoses and surgery. Dr. Matthew Hazzard is not one of those guys - plus with a name like Hazzard - he’s got to be good!

Checked Dr. Hazard on Healthgrades of course. Very impressed. Asked on our neighborhood FB page & received very good feedback re doctor & his PA, Brandon Morris. Doctor booked, but scheduled w PA. Utterly impressed. Never met a PA who went right to the heart of the matter. I have severe lower spine disc problem & we are getting a 2nd MRI for closer exam. He also shared arthritis of spine - but he was quick ask if anyone had mentioned the cyst on my kidney. Yes, primary. Explained everything to me & when he left for a minute, offered me the opportunity to take pictures of the spine & kidney up from the MRI. Because of his great concern for the kidney, he contacted an excellent urologist to get me set up with an appointment. I was impressed with his thorough explanations of everything I asked and that he gave me time to ask & even interrupt him when I did not understand. Also his proactiveness on getting me to urologist and lined up next appointment with doctor. Short wait.

Dr. Hazzard was kind, professional and caring. The surgery he performed for me was a God send. I have mobility in my neck and am pain free for the first time in almost 25 years.

Dr Hazzard saw me after a TBI occurred in 2018. I have never been so impressed with a doctor. I’ve had two amazingly successful back surgeries by a different, very competent Neorosurgeon (both times same physician). However I promise you should I need a Neurosurgeon in the future I would definitely choose Dr hazzard to perform surgery on me. He is competent, professional, friendly and his bedside manners are very professional.

Dr Hazzard and his PA, Brandon, are the best you can get for back problems. I’d still like to know if I can use my inversion table. I asked his nurse and did not get straight answer. I may try calling him again soon.

EVERYONE can only wish for a doctor that is as personable, thorough and willing to spend time with a patient as what I just experienced this morning with Dr Hazzard. He is obviously extremely intelligent, highly approachable and takes the time to explain options, details and answer any question we had. Although we were actually seeing him for a second opinion, his demeanor and the experience we had with him in the office now switches us to him as the go-to surgeon in the future.

I had terrible back pain that wouldn't allow me to stand up straight due to a blown out disc. Doctor Hazzard and his staff where friendly, caring and took their time to review and explain my issues and all my options. There was never any pressure to choose which option I felt was best for me. I had surgery and it was flawless and recovery has been easier than anticipated. I am thankful and would return if needed.

I've been a patient of doctor Hazzard for approximately 6 months. He is a excellent Dr. I'm scheduled for neck surgery May 2017. I feel very comfortable with him doing my surgery. He is very informational and explains every detail. I can't wait for my surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Hazard. I'll leave another review after surgery.

I wish I would have found Dr. Hazard months ago. After seeing many other doctors with L5/S1 herniation, I saw Dr Hazzard for Microdiscectomy. He was professional, personal, and a very skilled surgeon. I could not have had a better experience with him, his staff and Braselton Hospital. I was back to work 5 days after back surgery-unbelievable. I would send all my friends/family to him.

Dr. HAZZARD performed a laminectomy on my back and I went from excruciating pain to immediate and lasting relief. He is unusually personable, quite timely with keeping appointment times, and seems very well prepared for his work. He genuinely seems to care and explains things thoroughly so a layperson can understand. Most pleased with every aspect of his care.

Dr. Hazzard is a great surgeon and caring individual who truly cares about his patients. I am surprised on the review below about him not being caring. Office logistics do not reflect his character or skills. If you need an honest and skilled surgeron go see dr. Hazzard.

3(not pleasant to endure)tests were ordered in order for my insurance to cover the back surgery that I need I went & had all 3 tests completed and then went back to Dr. Hazzard to schedule my long over due & much needed surgery only to be told by Dr. Hazzard that the WRONG test had been done!!! I instantly started crying thinking I had paid $800 for the wrong test & that I would have to go back & have to pay $800+ yet again for the correct test to be done. The office was no help & even rude...
