Saw him looking for a CFS/FM-aware internist, not for the Dx or treatment, just to mind the store. Don't believe his Health Grades condition list. In return for letting him see my records, he basically called me a hypochondriac, notably, like others he'd met from NASA. (Did all them nerds get CFS too?) Told me to "find a role" in society--my having moved cross-country to attempt that P/T job, a chance this condition seldom affords, apparently didn't count. Thanks for the memories, guy!

time. well time is of the essence in modern medicine, isn't it? I did medical transcription for 16 years, so I know the constraints doctors experience in our modern system. Dr. Souther took the time, although it, without doubt, made him late all day, to explain to me, rather than shame me, about smoking and diabetes. As a result, I quit smoking two years ago. It must be difficult to make that kind of time to help a patient with what is, let's face it, a self-inflicted wound, but he did. Because
